Like the development of traditional software, the process of web site development can also be divided into different life cycle steps. This can help to format the team effectively, and the standards and procedures can be adopted to achieve maximum quality. Below we have listed the steps of development which can be arranged as a process of web engineering. This is just a guideline to help you, to know, how the process can be done. The steps may vary from site to site.

Domain Name Registration

If you don’t already have you own public domain name, iWolfs integration team will register one for you. Choose a name that best represents your business and let our team do the rest.

Site Hosting

The Host of your new website must support the plugins, modules and Content Management System. Choose the service provider that best meets you data requirements, budget and supports the (CMS) of your preference.

Logo Design.

If you don’t already have a company logo our graphic artists will design a new logo synonymous with the customers industry, image and key objectives.

Artwork & Site Layout.

Our graphic artist will design a new look and feel for the site making it more presentable and intuitive to use. Two or more new pages will be designed; the homepage layout, the succeeding page format and any other specialised page that you may require. The new design will incorporate any additional menu items and links to the features and enhancements you have chosen.

HTML Templates and Style Sheet creation.

The PSD files created by the graphic artist will be cut into HTML templates following the design. The web developer will script the style sheet (CSS files) and ensure that it complies with the many web browsers in use today

Custom Modules and Plugins In preparation for the integration stage an iWolf database developer or programmer will build a schema for the custom feature you require. All plugins and extras must be compiled before proceeding to the next stage.

Template & Style Sheet Integration.

The web developer will incorporate the new logo, templates, artwork and Style Sheets into the CMS. At this point custom modules or plugins will be installed. During this process the developer will maintain a focus on the SEO basics and enter the business profile and content that you provide

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

When all is complete our SEO specialist will work to ensure that your new website is easily found. This can be a one only leg-up into the Google rankings or an ongoing service to keep you in front of your competition.

Methodology

The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) we use is referred to as “Structured Design”. The process will follow the subsequent steps

2) Analyse. Identify potential problems and guide the development process.

3) Design. Develop the user interface.

4) Implement. Deploy and tested the finished product.
