The first pillar of the platform is the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application suite. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications are engineered to work together and provide seamless business process flows with deep industry functionality across more than 80 modules. The broad, integrated footprint of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications saves customers the additional expense of integrating disparate systems and supporting multiple platforms, tools, and technologies.
A Powerful Integration Framework
To meet the integration needs of organizations that also have applications outside of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne product family, JD Edwards has built a robust integration framework—the second pillar of the integration platform. At no additional cost, JD Edwards delivers this framework with the following:

- Toolset to easily build new business interfaces
JD Edwards has made and continues to make significant investments in the integration framework by creating dozens of business interfaces that enable integrations with Oracle applications, third-party applications, mobile applications, and Oracle applications. These business interfaces enable customers to support additional business processes by combining the rich industry functionality and efficient business processes inherent in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with other applications, such as Oracle Sales and Oracle Value Chain Planning. Even when built for specific integrations, JD Edwards interfaces are extensible, reusable, and can support integrations built by partners and customers.
The toolset includes an array of modern tools and techniques that enable customers and partners to build interfaces quickly and easily. These tools range from batch import/export processes and tables to SOA-based interfaces, such as web services and real-time events (supported by the Oracle Middleware SOA suite).
In addition to its extensive support for system-level integrations, JD Edwards also provides a framework for end users to design an integrated online workspace “on the glass,” combining JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications with external applications that support their job.
A Modern Architecture
JD Edwards recently adopted the REST architecture for networked applications. This forward-looking design strategy has already enabled the rapid development of more than 80 mobile applications, and provides a toolset to develop additional mobile applications. REST architecture is also paving the way for building additional role-based applications and support for the Internet of Things.
