Connecting analogue telephones to PBX Systems

iWolf FXS gateways can be used to connect analogue telephones to IP PBX systems, quickly and easily. FXS and FXO modules can be installed on the same interface card, sharing its resources. The FXS module transcodes analogue voice signals into a digital signal and likewise back again for the reverse direction making a two way audio stream. The module compresses the analogue signal into a codec which is then broken into packets and transmitted across the network. The IP PBX System uses a signalling protocol to facilitate the call.

You can add up to 11 more FXO or FXS modules to total 12 ports in any combination to meet your requirements.

iW1220P/E interface cards can be used for connecting analogue telephones and analogue PSTN lines VIA an IP PBX system. It supports any combination of FXS and FXO modules, providing a total of 12 ports. This 12 port card features interchangeable FXO and FXS module support and eliminates the need for separate banks of channels or gateways.

iW1220P/E gateways are compatible with all versions of Asterisk and is ideal for IP PBX-IVR projects along with other Open Source and proprietary switching, IVR, and SIP gateway applications.
