Unified Business Model

All features developed for one module are available throughout the other modules VIA the independent unified language of specific business processes.

ERP5′s unified process dramatically reduces re-education and minimises the risk of data discrepancies over multiple modules and servers

This model is based on five classes :

Resource

a resource defines an abstract resource in a business process like a raw material, a product, a currency or an individual’s skill.

Node

a node can send and receive resources. It can pertain to physical entities such as a workshop or to intangible entities such as a bank account.

Movement

Movement describes a transfer of resources between two nodes at a set time, for a given interval. For example, a movement might send raw material from a warehouse to a workshop or money from one account to another.

Item

an item is a physical occurrence of a resource. A movement can be extended into a sequence of noticeable movements through items. Items are characteristically used to manage serial or part numbers.

Path

The path defines a method for a node to access a resource it needs. A commercial value and product profile can be associated with a path to define the default price for a given resource procured by a given maker.

Multi Category Design

ERP5′s design is based on the classification and structure archiving of documents. All business information is managed in dedicated documents, just as it used to be a long time ago with paper and folders EG: Purchase Invoices, Sales Invoices, Person or Products etc. The sub-categorisation of documents in many classifications provides the base for recording and migrating information. Diversified associations are defined as orders of groups, sites, functions or roles etc.

This design makes it possible for a single ERP5 instance to manage a group of companies structured in subsidiaries, representation offices, corporate units and partner companies, distributed globally with exclusive permissions on sensitive documents.

Simulated Planning

ERP5 is a Simulation based ERP system. Every possible outcome of every business decision made is calculated in real time according to configurable business guidelines and processed into reports. MRP is a modest application of ERP5′s simulation approach. ERP5 simulation guidelines can be expanded to cover new functions and conditions.

Clustering

ERP5 has been developed to support clusters of low-cost Linux servers to deliver high scalability. ERP5 clusters can be monitored through the GUI and fine-tune the system to achieve the maximum benefits and returns.

Integrated Data warehouse and Reporting

ERP5 stores data as it is entered by the user without further processing. This assures that information will maintain its integrity long term and that it will not depend on ever-changing business and calculation rules. To provide accurate reporting, ERP5 includes a flexible data-warehouse engine that converts information entered by users into preprocessed data optimised for effective table based reporting.

Integrated Synchronisation

ERP5 incorporates a SyncML structured synchronisation engine that secures unreliable network connectivity and enables remote users to bring the whole ERP5 system to their computer and synchronise it later.
