Step 9: Minimise E-Waste

IT creates a lot of e-waste, whether it is from broken equipment or outdated. Most e-waste is damaging to the environment and is potentially hazardous to human health, so minimising such waste is an important issue.

E-waste can be reduced by, either finding another use , donating or recycling the used equipment. If the electronic equipment ends up in landfill toxic chemicals can seep into the ground as well as the wastage of rare metals in circuitry.
